Joanne Landis at Green Drake Gallery

This is my dear friend Joanne and some of her newest work.
I went to the Green Drake Gallery this evening to the opening reception of the new Joanne Landis and Jim Bright exhibit.  (runs until March 31.)  Joanne creates large narrative paintings with lush figures that are filled with symbolism. Jim creates large organic wood sculptures.  It was wonderful as usual.
The Green Drake Gallery is located in Milheim Pa.
The Green Drake features several rooms of gallery space, with original wood floors dating back to the 1880's and a high original sculpted tin ceiling in the main room.  Along with original oil and acrylic paintings by resident artists Karl Eric Leitzel and Elody Gyekis, they have both 2-D and 3-D fine art by many other regional, national, and international artists.

    1. Thanks for looking at my blog, David. Joanne is really busy lately in central PA. She is currently showing in a Williamsport, PA venue called Converge Gallery. She has a studio at the Pajama Factory in Williamsport and often participates in the First Friday activities there.
She taught at Dexel in Philly and FIT in NYC until a few years ago. She occasionally teaches workshops in Fashion Illustration and Oil painting.
I'll tell her you commented. I'm sure she will be flattered and pleased you remember her.
      Thanks.
