Today is Bob's birthday, so I painted something that is Bob's.  

He must have been playing it while I was out teaching 

because it was on the window seat when I got home.

This is ink and watercolor.  I do a light pencil sketch, ink in the details, 

erase the pencil and then paint.  

This is one of my favorite ways to add detail to a really small painting.
